Assen (The Netherlands) - During the weekend of 29-31 October, the Supercar Madness final races took place in Assen. The MPM Traxx Racing Team ended this final race with a fantastic first place. A wonderful podium finish, thanks to the drivers and the entire team.
On Friday morning, during the qualifications, we were able to maintain our first place until we were overtaken in the very last lap by Zilhouette team De Jong-Hoekstra. Nothing to worry about, because a second place on the starting grid in Assen can still have an advantage.
The Saturday race was on rain tires. Bart had an excellent start and for a while they were fighting for the first place. After 25 minutes, the Peugeot was nudged at the back by another driver, which resulted in a spin and we had to start the battle again. A 4th place was the best we could achieve, so we just missed the podium.
The Sunday race, second race, on dry weather tires proved more successful. Despite the fact that the team was nudged again and this resulted in a spin, Chris still ended up in first place. This podium finish is all due to the drivers and the MPM Traxx Racing Team.
